Dr. Shipman is a dedicated clinical dermatologist and accomplished researcher specializing in general and cosmetic dermatology, skin of color, lasers, wound healing, hair loss and hidradenitis suppurativa. With a strong educational background and a commitment to advancing the field, Dr. Shipman has made significant contributions to both patient care and scientific knowledge. Dr. Shipman earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Morehouse College, then an M.D./Ph.D. in Immunology and Microbiology from Weill Cornell Medicine. This rigorous educational foundation has provided a unique perspective that combines clinical expertise with cutting-edge research. As part of his training, Dr. Shipman completed an Internal Medicine Preliminary Residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital followed by a Dermatology Residency and Postdoctoral Fellowship at Yale University.
