Bio
Rayna M. Dyck Richardson, MD is a native of Dothan, Alabama with strong ties to the Birmingham area. She received her Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science in history and chemistry respectively from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, summa cum laude with University Honors. She then went on to receive her Doctorate of Medicine in 2009 from the prestigious Mayo Medical School in Rochester, Minnesota. She completed her internship in Internal Medicine and Dermatology residency at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.
During her residency, Dr. Richardson was involved in the program’s clinical research track. Her research interests included hair disorders, health disparities, infectious diseases, and dermatopathology. For her efforts, she has been awarded mentorship grants from both the North American Hair Research Society and the American Society for Dermatopathology. Dr. Richardson is also an active member of the Women’s Dermatologic Society and currently serves on the Editorial Board, as well as the Social Media Task Force.
